TabTrade - What Traders Should Know
The Broker — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background matters. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.
The Software
Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That should round things out when it lands.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Put together that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
